What the research supports
Three capsules a day give 900 mg of diosmin with 100 mg of hesperidin, a 9 to 1 ratio. The bottle is a 30 day supply.
Studies use 1000 mg a day of diosmin plus hesperidin.
- Leg heaviness (evidence: moderate, from randomized controlled trial, meta-analysis)
- Diosmin and hesperidin strengthen and tone the walls of small veins, which is thought to reduce pooling in the legs. At 1000 mg a day combined, trials found less heaviness, aching and night cramping than placebo.
- Leg swelling (evidence: moderate, from randomized controlled trial, meta-analysis)
- Escin, the active compound in horse chestnut, tightens the walls of small veins and reduces how much fluid leaks into surrounding tissue. Trials at 100 to 150 mg of escin daily measured less lower leg volume than placebo.
- Vein tone (evidence: limited, from animal study, small human trial)
- Ruscogenins from butcher's broom tighten small vessel walls in laboratory and animal studies, but the human trials that exist used several times the daily amount this formula provides.

What to expect
Heaviness and aching are what shift first, usually somewhere between two and eight weeks of consistent three a day use. Visible veins do not change and neither does the shape of your leg. If nothing has moved by eight weeks, it is not going to.
