The ceiling for this class of ingredient is small. Getting 25 to 30 g of protein and 10 to 15 g of soluble fibre into the same meal does far more for how full you feel and how much you eat next.

Anyone wanting gymnema to blunt sweetness

That effect comes from gymnemic acid touching your tongue, and a swallowed capsule bypasses it completely. A gymnema tea or a chewable is the only way to get it.

What to expect

Nothing you can feel, and no change on the scale from the capsules alone. What some people do get in the first week is extra gas and bloating, which is the mechanism showing itself: starch that escapes digestion in the small intestine gets fermented by bacteria further down.
