Why people keep reordering it
Best suited to: someone whose skin feels dry and tight, people who spend long days in the sun, anyone wanting silica without a fifth bottle.
What the research supports
Two capsules give 120 mg of Hyabest-brand hyaluronic acid as sodium hyaluronate. The 60-capsule bottle is a month at two a day.
Studies on this Hyabest form use 120 mg a day.
- Skin hydration (evidence: moderate, from randomized controlled trial)
- Hyaluronic acid holds many times its weight in water, and taken orally some of it appears to reach the skin's water-binding layer. At 120 mg a day for 12 weeks, including on this Hyabest material, skin hydration measurements rose against placebo.
- Fine lines (evidence: limited, from randomized controlled trial)
- The same water-binding effect that raises hydration can plump the skin slightly and soften its surface texture. Only a small number of trials have measured wrinkle depth directly, and the effect sizes they report are modest.
- UV redness (evidence: moderate, from randomized controlled trial)
- Lycopene accumulates in skin and appears to blunt the inflammatory response that UV light triggers there. At around 16 mg a day for 10 to 12 weeks, it raised the amount of UV exposure needed to produce visible redness in controlled studies.
- Nail thickness (evidence: limited, from randomized controlled trial)
- Biotin is a cofactor in building the keratin that makes up nails, and a genuine shortfall shows up as brittleness. The research behind that link used 2500 mcg a day, five times the 500 mcg in two capsules here.

Is it right for you
Worth it if
- someone whose skin feels dry and tight
- 120 mg of Hyabest hyaluronic acid daily is the exact dose used in the trials that measured skin water content over 12 weeks.
- people who spend long days in the sun
- 16 mg of lycopene a day is in the range shown to modestly raise the skin's threshold for visible redness after UV exposure.
- anyone wanting silica without a fifth bottle
- 700 mg of a 4:1 horsetail extract, equivalent to 2,800 mg of herb, is the silica component most skin and hair formulas are built around.
Look elsewhere if
- someone buying this mainly for brittle nails
- a standalone biotin at 2,500 mcg is the dose the nail research used, five times what two capsules here provide.
- anyone already taking selenium or a multivitamin
- check the totals before adding this, since two capsules carry 200 mcg of selenium on their own against a 400 mcg daily ceiling from all sources.
- a shopper after firmness rather than moisture
- hydrolyzed collagen peptides at 2.5 to 10 g daily carry the elasticity and wrinkle depth data, and no capsule-sized dose can match that.
What to expect
In the hyaluronic acid trials, hydration measures moved between weeks 4 and 8 and the fine-line readings were taken at 12 weeks, so plan on three bottles before judging it. Hair and nails only change as new growth comes in, which means nothing visible for the first couple of months.
How it compares
- Compared with a standalone hyaluronic acid capsule
- you get the same 120 mg researched dose plus lycopene, zinc, selenium and silica out of one bottle rather than four. The tradeoff: the extras come at fixed amounts you cannot adjust, and the 200 mcg of selenium in particular is a therapeutic dose you may not have gone shopping for.
- Compared with a biotin gummy
- biotin does nothing for skin hydration, and the hyaluronic acid here is the ingredient carrying the moisture data. The tradeoff: if nails really are the goal, the gummy likely holds more biotin than the 500 mcg in here.
