Sisu Sisu - Only Minerals, 120 caps
Sisu Only Minerals - An excellent source of a balanced formulation of minerals designed specifically to insure optimum vitamin and mineral absorption and bio-activity. Vitamins cannot be assimilated into the body without the aid of minerals - but minerals can't be manufactured in the body and must be ingested, either through diet or supplementation. If your lifestyle lacks a proper balanced diet, or you suspect deficiency of certain mineral groups, supplementation is the key.

Why people keep reordering it
- Highly absorbable forms
- Chelated forms your body takes up, instead of oxide that mostly passes through.
- Calm and recovery
- Supports muscle relaxation, sleep quality and everyday stress resilience.
- Gentle on digestion
- Formulated to skip the laxative effect of cheaper magnesium.
Best suited to: already taking a vitamin-only product, wants magnesium plus trace minerals in one bottle, needs minerals but must avoid iron.
What the research supports
Twelve minerals with no vitamins, built around 200 mg of magnesium as malate across four capsules. The 120-capsule bottle is exactly 30 days at four a day.
Studies use 200 to 350 mg of magnesium a day.
- Muscle cramps (evidence: moderate, from randomized controlled trial)
- Magnesium lets a muscle relax after it contracts, and running low leaves muscles tense and prone to cramping. At around 200 mg a day it eases cramping and evening restlessness mainly in people who started out low.
- Antioxidants (evidence: moderate, from randomized controlled trial)
- Selenium is built directly into glutathione peroxidase, an enzyme that neutralizes cell-damaging molecules. At 200 mcg a day this formula reliably raises that enzyme's output in adults eating an average diet.
- Immunity (evidence: moderate, from randomized controlled trial)
- Zinc is needed to make and activate immune cells, and even a mild shortfall blunts that response. At 10 mg a day this covers adult needs and rebuilds that response where a real gap existed.
- Blood sugar (evidence: mixed, from randomized controlled trial, meta-analysis)
- Chromium helps insulin move glucose into cells, so a shortfall can leave blood sugar harder to manage. Trials from 200 to 1000 mcg a day help people who were short of it, and do little for others.

Is it right for you
Worth it if
- Already taking a vitamin-only product
- Nothing in here duplicates a B complex or a vitamin D, so the two stack without pushing any vitamin toward its ceiling.
- Wants magnesium plus trace minerals in one bottle
- 200 mg of magnesium malate alongside zinc, selenium, chromium, copper and iodine replaces three or four separate single-mineral bottles.
- Needs minerals but must avoid iron
- This is a full mineral formula built with no iron in it, which is unusual and useful if iron is already handled or deliberately left out.
Look elsewhere if
- Someone buying it for calcium
- 200 mg a day is a fifth of an adult requirement. A dedicated calcium citrate at 500 mg per dose, taken with vitamin D and K2, is the product for that job.
- Anyone whose thyroid is being monitored
- clear the 400 mcg of iodine with a practitioner first. It stays under the 1100 mcg tolerable ceiling but is more than double the 150 mcg daily requirement, so it is not a background amount.
- People eating Brazil nuts most days
- a mineral blend without selenium, since a couple of Brazil nuts can carry 100 mcg or more and stacking that on 200 mcg walks you toward the 400 mcg limit.
What to expect
Minerals do not announce themselves. If your magnesium intake was low, evening restlessness and calf cramping may ease over two to four weeks. The rest is doing work you cannot feel, as enzyme cofactors and blood levels visible only on a panel. Take the four capsules with food; minerals on an empty stomach are the usual cause of queasiness.
How it compares
- Compared with a standard multivitamin with minerals
- The mineral amounts are several times what a one-a-day carries: 200 mg of magnesium against a typical 50, 10 mg of zinc against 5, and citrate and chelate forms in place of oxide and carbonate. The tradeoff: It supplies no vitamins whatsoever, so you are buying a second bottle, and four capsules a day empties this one in a month.
