What the research supports
One capsule a day carries 150 mg of hyaluronic acid and 100 mg of concentrated red orange extract. It's swallowed, not applied, and the 60-capsule bottle lasts two months.
Studies use 120 to 240 mg of hyaluronic acid a day.
- Skin hydration (evidence: moderate, from randomized controlled trial, meta-analysis)
- Hyaluronic acid holds water in the skin's outer layers, which is what oral trials measure as improved moisture. 150 mg a day sits within the studied 120 to 240 mg range.
- Skin redness (evidence: limited, from randomized controlled trial)
- Citrus flavonoids in the extract dampen skin's inflammatory response to sun exposure. A handful of small trials at 100 mg a day found less visible redness afterward.
- Knee comfort (evidence: limited, from randomized controlled trial)
- Hyaluronic acid lubricates and cushions joint tissue, which is what oral trials measure as knee comfort. Small trials used 80 to 200 mg a day, and 150 mg falls within that.

- 100 mg a day of the standardized red orange extract is the amount the human work on skin redness after sun exposure used. It is not sun protection, but it is the studied dose of it.
- Wants a one capsule habit
- One a day with no scoop, no second dose and no timing rule, which is the format most likely to survive the eight weeks this needs.
Look elsewhere if
- Wants the best evidenced skin supplement
- collagen peptides at 2.5 to 10 grams a day have a much deeper human trial record for skin elasticity and hydration than 150 mg of oral hyaluronic acid does. If you are only buying one thing for skin, buy that.
- Hoping to skip sunscreen
- nothing swallowed does what a topical sunscreen does. Keep using one and treat this as a separate, slower thing.
- Buying it as a vitamin C source
- the extract is 6 percent vitamin C, which works out to about 6 mg a day. A dedicated vitamin C at 250 to 500 mg is a different purchase entirely.
What to expect
