What the research supports

Each capsule is 400 mg of whole red reishi mushroom, four a day totals 1,600 mg. At that pace the 360-capsule bottle runs 90 days.

Reishi trials have run between roughly 1.4 and 5.4 g a day of extract. This is whole milled mushroom at 1,600 mg, which is not the same measure.

Immune response (evidence: limited, from laboratory study, animal study): Reishi polysaccharides interact with immune cells in lab and animal studies. The handful of human trials used concentrated extract rather than the 1,600 mg a day of milled whole fungus this bottle provides.
Fatigue and wellbeing (evidence: limited, from laboratory study, animal study): Reishi compounds are thought to ease physical and mental fatigue over time. Small trials of concentrated extract reported better fatigue and wellbeing scores over 4 to 8 weeks, at extract amounts above what four capsules here give.

Wants a full season on one bottle: 360 capsules is 90 days at four a day, or six months at two, so it survives one reorder cycle that most 120 capsule mushroom bottles do not.
Has tried reishi tea and given up: Reishi is the most bitter of the common medicinal mushrooms by a distance, and a capsule removes that variable completely.
Wants a countable amount: 400 mg per capsule tells you exactly what you took, which a quarter teaspoon scoop of loose powder never quite does.

Look elsewhere if

Pregnant or breastfeeding: the label rules reishi out outright for both. Leave it until after and ask a practitioner what is appropriate in the meantime.
Wants a declared beta-glucan or triterpene figure: a hot water or dual extract that prints a polysaccharide percentage on the panel. Whole milled fungus cannot give you that number, whoever sells it.
Taking reishi long term on a budget: the loose powder is 1800 mg a day for a fraction of the price per gram. Over 90 days that gap is large, and the only thing you trade is the taste.

What to expect

Nothing you can point to, and treat any promise otherwise with suspicion. Reishi is a daily antioxidant and adaptogen taken over months, not something with a felt onset. The label does give you things to watch for rather than wait for: stop and check in if you get dry mouth, nausea, an upset stomach, dizziness or a nosebleed.

How it compares
