What the research supports

One spray-pump serving gives 15 mcg of D3 and 8 mcg of B12, orange flavoured. The 30 mL bottle lasts about 90 days.

A picky eater whose parent is worried about minerals

This has no iron, zinc, calcium or magnesium, which are exactly the ones fussy eaters run short on. A chewable multivitamin with a mineral panel, or an iron specific supplement if a blood test showed a reason.

A child already on a vitamin D drop

Pick one or the other. Running both stacks D and adds preformed vitamin A on top, and if D was all you wanted, a plain D3 drop is cheaper and simpler.

A child under one year old

The dose on the label starts at age one. Infants need a 400 IU vitamin D drop made for them, and the amount should come from your practitioner.

What to expect

Nothing visible. A child who was short on vitamin D or B12 will show it in a blood test after a couple of months, not in their behaviour that week. If your child eats reasonably well already, the honest expectation is that this changes nothing you can observe.

How it compares

Compared with a plain children's vitamin D3 drop

This adds B12, B6 and folic acid, which is worth something for a vegetarian child or one with a narrow diet, and the spray format wins with kids who refuse everything else.
