- The 150 mg of B5 here includes pantethine, the form one step from coenzyme A, which almost no B complex carries.
- Wants B12 in more than one form
- Adenosylcobalamin is the form used inside mitochondria and methylcobalamin the one used in the cytosol. Most products supply only one.
Look elsewhere if
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- The label rules this one out outright. A prenatal covers the B vitamins at amounts formulated for pregnancy, and the regular Active B Complex only asks for a practitioner check rather than ruling it out.
- Buying it mainly for the PQQ
- A standalone PQQ at 20 mg a day is what the research used. 2.5 mg will not get you there no matter how many capsules you take.
- Wants more niacin than the regular version
