What the research supports

Each softgel carries 450 mg of pantethine, the form one step from coenzyme A. Two a day is a 30-day bottle, not two months.

Look elsewhere if

Vegetarian or vegan: The shell is gelatin. A vegetarian-capsule B complex covers the pantothenic acid requirement, accepting that plain B5 is not the same molecule and does not carry the same research.
Only wants to meet the B5 requirement: The daily requirement is 5 mg. Any basic B complex covers that for a small fraction of what 900 mg of pantethine costs.

What to expect

Nothing perceptible, ever. This is a supplement you judge by a lab result rather than by how you feel, and the differences the trials found took 8 to 16 weeks to appear. What some people do notice early is heartburn, itching or loose stools, which is the usual reason people stop.

How it compares

Compared with plain pantothenic acid as calcium d-pantothenate: Pantethine is the disulfide that converts directly onward to coenzyme A, and it is the specific form every one of the lipid trials used. Equal doses of pantothenic acid have not reproduced those results.
