AOR AOR - Quercetin 500 mg, 200 vcaps
AOR Quercetin - Quercetin is the flavone aglycone (non-sugar-bound) form of the polyphenolic flavonoid rutin. It is the major bioflavonoid in the human diet. Quercetin's main application is for those with allergy symptoms (such as itchy eyes, itchy throat, sneezing and nasal congestion), quercetin also promotes cardiovascular health due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It reduces the oxidation of low density lipoproteins (LDL), promotes healthy blood pressure and blood clotting, enhances nitric oxide (NO) production, and reduces the risk of metabolic syndrome. Quercetin can provide relief from headaches and other types of pain, as it inhibits the production of inflammatory signaling molecules by a mechanism similar to that of aspirin. Quercetin also inhibits the release of histamine from certain immune cells, hence why it is widely used by those who suffer from constant allergies (such as dust) and seasonal allergies (such as hay fever).

Why people keep reordering it
- Cartilage and connective tissue
- Supports the structures that keep joints moving comfortably.
- Mobility and recovery
- For active bodies and everyday wear alike.
- Skin, hair and nails too
- Collagen support that shows beyond the joints.
Best suited to: seasonal hay fever with itchy eyes or sneezing, someone wanting a citrus-free quercetin source, people already eating capsules twice daily with meals.
What the research supports
One capsule holds 500 mg of quercetin, taken twice daily. The 200-capsule bottle lasts about 100 days.
Studies use 500 to 1000 mg a day.
- Allergy symptoms (evidence: moderate, from small rcts, mechanistic studies on mast cell histamine release)
- Quercetin blocks immune cells from releasing histamine, the chemical behind itchy eyes and a runny nose. Trials show modest relief at these doses.
- Vessel health (evidence: moderate, from small rcts, mechanistic studies on mast cell histamine release)
- Quercetin limits oxidation of LDL cholesterol and helps blood vessels relax, which shows up as modest drops in blood pressure in trials at this dose range.

Is it right for you
Worth it if
- Seasonal hay fever with itchy eyes or sneezing
- Quercetin at this dose is studied for blocking histamine release from mast cells, which is the mechanism behind those specific symptoms.
- Someone wanting a citrus-free quercetin source
- This is derived from Dimorphandra mollis rather than citrus rind, which matters for anyone avoiding citrus-derived flavonoids specifically.
- People already eating capsules twice daily with meals
- The two-capsule-per-day dosing schedule with food fits an existing routine rather than adding awkward timing.
Look elsewhere if
- Someone wanting fast relief for an acute allergy flare today
- An antihistamine from the pharmacy. Quercetin is taken daily through a season, and the label's own framing is consistent use over weeks rather than a dose you feel this afternoon.
What to expect
Allergy-related effects like less itchy eyes or nasal congestion are typically reported after several days to a couple weeks of consistent daily use, not immediately on the day pollen counts spike. Cardiovascular and antioxidant effects are longer-term and not something you will feel directly.
How it compares
- Compared with quercetin blended with bromelain or vitamin C in a multi-ingredient allergy formula
- This single-ingredient capsule lets you dial the quercetin dose precisely to 500 or 1000 mg without also taking whatever amount of the other actives comes bundled in. The tradeoff: You lose any potential added benefit from bromelain's enzymatic activity or vitamin C's own antihistamine-adjacent effects that combination formulas are built around.
- Compared with rutin, the sugar-bound precursor flavonoid
- Quercetin is the aglycone form the body actually uses after rutin is broken down, so this skips a conversion step research suggests is inconsistent between people. The tradeoff: Rutin-based products are often cheaper per capsule since quercetin extraction is a more involved process.
