AOR AOR - Niacin No-Flush, 90 vcaps
AOR Niacin No-Flush - A form of the B vitamin niacin, commonly known as Vitamin B3, bound to the B-vitamin-like simple polyol inositol. Niacin helps with the proper functioning of the nerves, skin and digestive system. It is an important factor in the metabolism of foods into energy; and is required in many essential biological functions including cellular energy production and DNA repair. While niacin’s effects are beneficial, it often causes an uncomfortable symptom known as the “niacin flush”, a harmless but uncomfortable sensation of warming and itching of the skin. Niacinamide, a common type of sustained release niacin, does not cause this flushing effect, but comes with the even worse side effect of potential liver damage. AOR’s Niacin No-Flush provides a unique form of niacin, known as inositol hexanicotinate (IHN), a compound that releases vitamin B3 into the body slowly to prevent the flushing effect but without the potential risks to the liver caused by niacinamide. Niacin No-Flush is a great way to increase your niacin intake without the uncomfortable flushing side effects.

Why people keep reordering it
- Active methylated forms
- B vitamins in the forms your body can put to use right away.
- Mood and hormone balance
- Supports healthy methylation, mood and hormonal rhythm.
- Energy at the cellular level
- Feeds the pathways behind steady, real energy.
Best suited to: gets an uncomfortable flush from regular niacin, wants a niacin dose above rda without a liver-risk sustained-release form, takes one capsule a day and prefers a simple vegan, gluten-free product.
What the research supports
Each capsule breaks down into 500 mg of niacin plus 121 mg of inositol. The 90-capsule bottle lasts three months at one a day.
Cholesterol trials on niacin use 1 to 3 grams a day of the flushing form.
- Energy (evidence: strong, from human physiology, nutritional science)
- Niacin is a required cofactor your cells use to pull energy out of food. At 500 mg you're well past the basic amount needed to cover that role.
- Cholesterol (evidence: mixed, from human rct)
- Inositol hexanicotinate releases niacin slowly to avoid the hot flush, but that same slow release means less of it reaches the liver pathway that lowers cholesterol. Trials show inconsistent results.

Is it right for you
Worth it if
- gets an uncomfortable flush from regular niacin
- inositol hexanicotinate releases its 500 mg of niacin slowly, which is the whole reason this form exists over plain crystalline niacin.
- wants a niacin dose above RDA without a liver-risk sustained-release form
- the label positions IHN as an alternative to niacinamide-based sustained release products, which carry a known liver enzyme concern at high doses.
- takes one capsule a day and prefers a simple vegan, gluten-free product
- one 550 mg capsule daily is the full stated dose, with no other actives to manage.
Look elsewhere if
- taking niacin specifically for cholesterol or lipid support
- look for a product using crystalline niacin at the gram-level doses studied for lipids, and work with a physician, since flush-free forms like this one have shown weaker and less consistent lipid effects despite matching niacin content.
- only wants B3 at a basic nutritional level
- a B-complex with niacin closer to 15 to 20 mg would cover normal requirements without the higher dose found here.
- has existing liver concerns
- any high-dose niacin product, including this one, calls for periodic liver enzyme checks with a physician before starting.
What to expect
You should not notice the warming or itching flush that comes with regular niacin, since that is the specific problem this form is built to avoid. Niacin's role in energy metabolism and nerve and skin function is a background nutritional effect, not something you feel day to day.
How it compares
- Compared with plain crystalline niacin
- this product avoids the skin flushing that immediate-release niacin commonly causes at similar doses. The tradeoff: the slow-release inositol hexanicotinate form has less consistent evidence for cholesterol and lipid effects than the flush-causing form, even at matched niacin doses.
- Compared with niacinamide (sustained-release niacin)
- inositol hexanicotinate is presented as carrying less liver-related risk than niacinamide-based sustained release niacin. The tradeoff: niacinamide is cheaper and more widely available, and this product still recommends periodic liver enzyme monitoring as a precaution.
