What to expect
Nothing perceptible. Calcium and vitamin D work on bone maintenance over years, not weeks, and there is no sensation attached. The one thing you may notice is looser stools from 200 mg of magnesium oxide, which usually settles or can be managed by taking one capsule twice a day instead of two together.

- Citrate absorbs without gastric acid and does not need to be taken with a meal, which carbonate does, and it is less likely to cause gas and constipation.
